PL-C lamps with 2 and 4 copper pins are not interchangeable as they are started differently.
- PL-C 2 pin has the starter built into the lamp and works with a conventional ballast.
- PL-C 4 pin uses an electronic ballast and is therefore dimmable if the correct ballast is used. Other wattages of this type of PL-C lamp are not interchangeable.
In places that are difficult to reach, you could choose to use the PL-C (2 or 4 pin) Xtra variant. Lifespan is about twice as high, but so is the purchase. So if it costs you a lot of time or costs such as an aerial work platform, this can be a solution
PHIL IPS MASTER PL-C lamps are one of the most used 'energy saving lamps' in offices, passages and entrances! These luminaires can be equipped with 1 or 2 PL-C lamps.
